The Toronto East Story

Janna Elksnis – Owner

Abundant research shows seniors live longer, happier lives when they remain living in their homes – but as the years pass, almost everybody starts needing assistance with daily life. In July 2013, we opened Premier Homecare Services Toronto East to provide exceptional home care to the communities we know well.

Our Toronto East caregivers provide home care services from west to east between Yonge Street and Victoria Park, from north to south between St. Clair and Lake Ontario. Click here to see a visualization of our territories.

We understand how hard it is when family members begin finding everyday life difficult. Having cared for loved ones struggling with Alzheimer’s and other dementias we wanted to provide access to the same high-quality care and assistance that helped us get through. Since our own parents live overseas, we cannot provide them with as much support and care as we wish. We opened Premier Homecare Services Toronto East to provide exceptional care for other people’s loved ones. We want to give back to our local communities and feel good about what we’re doing.

We’ve built strong connections within Toronto East communities including Toronto East general Hospital. We’ve developed a thorough understanding of the needs of these communities and feel a great amount of mutual trust. Drawing on these years of experience, Premier Homecare Services Toronto East is now providing exceptional home care service to help seniors feel secure and attain the freedom of independent living.

Gregory Bashaleishvili – Business Operator

Local resident, Gregory Bashaleishvili, operates Premier Homecare Services Toronto East, located at St.Clair Ave. East and Victoria Park Ave.

Gregory started the business after he took care of his grandmother for five years while she was suffering from Alzheimer’s and created The Grandma Rule™ hiring philosophy. Gregory’s firsthand experience of searching for caregivers showed him that there were limited resources that met his high level of standards of client care and customer satisfaction.

Since that time, Gregory has been committed to providing all clients with an elite and highly qualified team of healthcare professionals that exceed industry standards. He is experienced with Alzheimer’s, dementia, Parkinson’s and with coordinating the care for seniors and others with disabilities.

We offer a 24-hr Helpline, (437) 986-8389, run by professional staff; individual and family counseling sessions with licensed social workers; a vast network of support groups; education seminars and training programs; early stage services and a wanderer’s safety program.

We believe in the power of caregiving and seek a world where everyone dealing with Alzheimer’s, dementia, Parkinson’s and other disabilities, has the support they need, when they need it.

My name is Dorothy and I am 88 years old living alone. I was wondering how long I would be able to carry on with tasks of day to day living until I heard about Premier Homecare Services. After an interview I was sent caring compassionate caregivers to suite my needs enabling me to remain in the home I love.
